Mayor Rau-Hatton Introduces 15.2 Cent Budget Increase

The Fiscal Mismanagement Continues in Gloucester Township

Blackwood- Yesterday, Mayor Cindy Rau-Hatton introduced a 15.2 cent budget increase to Council.This is the fourth increase, in as many years, for GloucesterTownship.The announcement of the increased budget comes on the heels of an article by the Courier Post that revealed Mayor Rau-Hatton had cost GloucesterTownship taxpayers over $13,000 in late fees and penalties by the State and the IRS.

“She wastes taxpayer money with penalties and then she expects residents to pick up the bill with her endless budget increases” said Michelle Gentek, Democratic candidate for council.

Dave Mayer, Democratic candidate for Mayor noted “Every year the Mayor submits double digit increases and refuses to offer cuts, yet she still blames everyone but herself.How much longer does she expect GloucesterTownship taxpayers to pay for her mismanagement?”
